Cold Season Cure

Ginger+Lemon+Turmeric+Honey.jpg

It’s cold season. The magic from the holidays has faded away and, in Canada, all we’re left with is snow and sickness. This is my go-to drink to make when I’m feeling under the weather or when I simply want a healthy pick-me-up! You can drink it warm, which is nice and comforting for the winter months, or you can drink it cold by leaving it in the fridge for a couple of hours. All you have to do it grab a big mug, grate some fresh ginger, squeeze some lemon juice, add some honey and turmeric, and finish with a pinch of pepper! Pour hot water over top and enjoy!

Ginger: Helps digestion, nausea, and inflammation.

Honey: Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory

Lemon: Promotes hydration, full of vitamin C, aids digestion

Turmeric: Anti-inflammatory, boosts brain function

Black Pepper: A pinch of black pepper increases the bio-availability of turmeric

1 tbsp Grated Ginger

1 Tbsp Honey

1/2 tsp Turmeric

1/8 tsp Black Pepper
